Kennedy Wilson, a global real estate investment company, has made a generous donation of £10,000 to NHS Lothian Charity to support free enhanced Wi-Fi for patients at the Western General Hospital for one year. Jane Greenacre, Head of Programmes at NHS Lothian Charity, commented: “I would like to thank Kennedy Wilson for making such a generous donation to support the enhanced WiFi service at the Western General Hospital and helping us to improve the experience of being in hospital for patients, their families, visitors and staff.”

Chris Stirling, Western General Hospital Director, said: “A big thank you to Kennedy Wilson for their generous donation to support enhanced Wi-Fi at our hospital for one year. Long stays can be difficult for patients who are away from loved ones and their home environment for a period of time. Free Wi-Fi makes such a big difference by bringing a bit of home into the hospital and allowing patients to keep in touch with family and friends through video calling or messages, as well as providing some entertainment with their favourite programmes or games which helps to reduce boredom and isolation.”
