Dr Brown undertook his medical oncology training in Edinburgh, completed a Clinical Fellowship in Toronto, Canada and then completed a PhD in translational melanoma research with the University of Edinburgh. He has been a Consultant in Medical Oncology at the Edinburgh Cancer Centre since 2009. His main clinical interests are colorectal cancer, melanoma, clinical trials and global oncology. Dr Brown is UK Chief Investigator for several clinical trials in melanoma, Chair of the Melanoma SIGN Guideline group, and Clinical Lead for SACT Services for South-East Scotland. His work is supported by an NHS Research Scotland Career Researcher Award (2013-2023).
