Dr Reid is a Palliative Medicine Consultant who has worked in cancer services since 2000. She completed specialty training and then worked for 12 years as a Palliative Medicine Consultant in the South West of England. In her last post she held various clinical, governance and educational leadership roles. Having made the decision to return home, she joined NHS Lothian in 2018. Dr Reid was appointed as Clinical Director for Palliative Care in 2019 and AMD for cancer services in 2022. She is committed to the delivery of timely, high quality and safe interventions for patients with cancer, and care that is in keeping with their individual values. She has three daughters, none of whom chose medicine.
